Now Playing
The portfolio is a player. Each piece of work is a shot in one reel; the scrubber along the bottom is the navigation, its chapters are the projects, and its fill is the one colour of my own. Each shot arrives the way footage arrives on a colourist’s screen, flat log first and then the grade, and on an HDR screen the photographs and films are shown in true HDR.
Why this, and not something else
- My day work (payments, pipelines, latency) has no pictures; my own work is screens, players, light and grading. A player is the one object both fit into: films of the interfaces, the photographs, and later the systems as animated diagrams.
- Text never sits on the work. The picture is uncropped and the words live in the player’s panel, the rule Azushi follows too.
- No portfolio among the ~75 surveyed shows graded HDR work properly. Here a lantern, a sunset or a lamp really is brighter than white on an HDR screen; everywhere else the SDR grade shows.

An Apple TV–style client for Jellyfin 12, shipped as a single server plugin. Nothing to install on any screen in the house.

Recommended. One family, three voices by width: expanded for titles, normal for reading, narrow for facts and captions. Plain enough to stay out of the work’s way; the width is the character.

Also has a width axis and reads well. But it is GitHub’s typeface, so the site would borrow someone else’s voice.

More personality in its curves; a little too playful next to engineering write-ups, and it is everywhere this year.
Colour: dusk
Sampled from the strip down the left edge of my résumé. On the player’s near-black ground the same hues are raised in lightness, so they read as light rather than mud.

Used sparingly: the scrubber’s fill, a button’s hover, list markers, text selection. Everything else is neutral, so the work brings the colour.
Waiting on you
- The copy. Every line on the site is a first draft written from my notes; rewrite it in your own words.
- Azushi’s film shows real films’ artwork (Severance, Oppenheimer and others, from the test library’s metadata). Fine for a private preview; for the public site I’d film a test library of Blender’s openly licensed films instead.
- Two photographs show people. Confirm they’re happy to be on a public site, or swap the photos.
- A public email address for the contact line (one on this domain, or your Gmail).
- MSU on your résumé: the full university name for your structured data.
